Wavy Silk Jewellery workshop package

When silk and wool come together during felting, special surfaces are created. This magical play of the two materials can now be observed during the creation of the wavy silk jewellery.

First we will learn the silk waving technique, and I will show how to insert it in a necklace or brooch. We arrange the silk in a nice leaf-shape so that the waves come out more effective.

Our raw materials will be extra fine, hand-dyed wool and translucent silk.

  • Making  different types of necklaces – both short and long styles
  • How to crease silk to achieve the wavy effect
  • Laying the wool for an outstanding gradient effect
  • How to make a leaf-shaped brooch
